How We Work in the Fox Cities
Spray Foam Insulation Appleton insulates and air seals houses, garages and outbuildings in Appleton and the communities around it, from Fox Crossing and Menasha to Kaukauna, Harrison and Hortonville. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, dense-pack and blow loose fill, and remove insulation that is wet, dirty or in the way.
We do not quote over the phone. We come out, go through the attic, the basement or crawl space and any walls, garage or shop you want looked at, and measure. We check how much insulation is already there and what shape it is in. We look for the air leaks that matter in a Fox Valley winter: the rim joist where the house sits on the foundation, top plates and chases in the attic, the hatch, recessed lights and kneewalls. We also look for things that should be fixed before anything is covered, such as roof leaks, damp foundation walls, bath fans venting into the attic and old knob-and-tube wiring.
Then we put it in writing. The quote lists each area, the material, the thickness and the R-value it reaches. Foam goes where its air sealing and moisture resistance are worth the cost. Loose fill goes where it gives more R-value per dollar. If an area does not need work, we say so.
On the day of the job we protect floors and belongings, keep the work area ventilated while foam cures and clean up before we leave. We tell you ahead of time how long to stay out of any sprayed space.
